Lake Garadice is situated just a couple of minutes walk from us here at Cully Cottage so we’re an ideal spot for those of you looking to take in some of the fabulous fishing that the area has to offer.
Fishing at Lake Garadice which covers an area of 389 hectares and in places reaches depths of up to 20 metres, with the deepest orders to be located just south of Church Island has proved popular with many of our guests, some of whom have travelled here specifically for the catch.
You can enjoy fishing from the banks of Lake Garadice and you can find easy access to it at Cully Shore, Church Shore, Garadice Park, Warrington’s Shore, Derrylahan Shore and Haughton’s Shore where there is also a slipway for boats with car parking available at Connolly’s Shore and Creamer’s Shore.
It’s a beautifully scenic spot, somewhere that you’ll feel you have to yourself such is the peaceful, relaxed atmosphere of Lake Garadice and its surrounds.
Fishing includes big bream, tench, roach, hybrids, perch and small to medium sized pike with regular reports of fish exceeding 20lbs being caught!
In the spring the shallow waters around Newtowngore tend to be a good spot for fishing alongside the deeper waters around Church Island which sits in the middle of the Lake.
Although Lake Garadice is perhaps the most fished lake in Co Leitrim, it’s not unusual to find a spot in the spring that hasn’t been fished for quite some time offering a bountiful supply of fish just waiting for you.
