One of our favourite holiday weekends each year is Easter, that time when the days are longer and summer is just around the corner.
If you’re out and about around Leitrim over Easter or the weeks leading up to the May bank holiday – almost on top of us too – here’s a few ideas for what you might like to take in;
Leitrim Hill Walking Festival – Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st April, with different walks scheduled for each day there’s something suited to all fitness levels and suited to days out with the family. You can find more details on the LeitrimIreland.com website by clicking here.
Bluegrass Babies, Baby Concert – Saturday 20th April; something a little different suited to those with children aged up to 5. You can find more information on the website of The Dock.
Drumkeerin Darts Tournament – Easter Monday 22nd April, taking place at Drumkeerin Community Centre and monies raised going to North West Hospice in Sligo. Details are available online here.
The 2 Johnnies ‘Get Loose’ – Friday 26th April; taking place in Carrick on Shannon enjoy a laugh themed around GAA and rural life in Ireland for the night at The Landmark Hotel.
Solas Art Gallery ‘Create’ Exhibition – running until 4th May; you can find out more on their website here.
And, as it’s Lovely Leitrim there’s always lots to do with attractions like Glencar Waterfall or trips on the Shannon proving exceptionally popular when the sun comes out.
